Take your English skills out into the world with Arizona State University! This course focuses on practical language for navigating city life and discussing the natural environment. You will start by learning the names of common city locations - such as parks, shops, and banks - and mastering the prepositions of place necessary to give and follow simple directions. This functional knowledge is essential for anyone traveling to or living in an English-speaking area. The second half of the course shifts to the weather and seasons, equipping you with the vocabulary to describe daily conditions and seasonal activities. Through interactive exercises, you will practice spelling, listening, and speaking to solidify your understanding of these everyday topics. By the end of this course, you will feel more confident navigating urban spaces and engaging in small talk about the world around you. This final step in the specialization ensures you have the functional English needed to move through daily life with independence and ease.
