Marissa D’Alonzo earned a master’s degree in computer and electrical engineering from Northeastern University, researching ways to use machine learning to detect melanoma. She then applied those skills in the robotics industry, designing algorithms for lunar landing, testing safety-critical flight systems, and detecting satellite faults. In her current role as an online course developer at MathWorks, she contributes to the design, development, and support of MATLAB and Simulink online courses.
