This course was funded by the German Foreign Office and developed by the German Archaeological Institute (DAI), in collaboration with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), the Interdisciplinary Center for Archaeology and Evolution of Human Behavior (ICArEHB) in Portugal, and the Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique, with input from experts around the world. Africa has a rich cultural heritage spanning tens of thousands of years, including the earliest known fossils of our hominin ancestors, abundant and diverse rock art sites, and some of the oldest civilizations in human history. The course is a comprehensive and detailed guide, providing exceptional instruction. It contains a vast array of resources on a wide range of archaeology-related topics. The discipline of African archaeology is still in its early stages, presenting countless opportunities for some truly remarkable discoveries. I'm glad to have been a student in the course.
In general, it was interesting. I liked that the course shows the different professions that are involved in archaeology. Here you can see detailed overview of all aspects of this activity. About the cons - there are too many complex terms and information in 2 weeks. For the entry level, you need to simplify the content.

I had to stop. first, they week only had white professors, and then the only African person they included they didn't even bother to include a bio!! this is still promoting colonial viewpoints. not interested in continuing the course. it has been a waste of my time.
