In this section, you'll build a strong foundation in AWS governance, monitoring, and compliance services, learning how to centrally manage AWS accounts, monitor resource health, and maintain compliance across AWS environments. You'll begin by exploring AWS Organizations and gain an understanding of how it simplifies multi-account management, governance, and policy enforcement across an organization. As you progress, you'll discover how Amazon CloudWatch enables real-time monitoring of AWS resources and applications through metrics, logs, and monitoring agents. Through practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises, you'll learn how to configure CloudWatch, collect and analyze logs using the CloudWatch Logs Agent and Unified Agent, and gain operational insights to proactively monitor application and infrastructure performance. The section further introduces AWS Config, which continuously assesses resource configurations and evaluates compliance against organizational policies. You'll gain hands-on experience creating AWS Config and Amazon SNS topics to monitor compliance status and receive notifications when configuration changes occur. You'll also explore AWS CloudTrail and learn how it records API activity and account events to support auditing, governance, troubleshooting, and security investigations. By the end of this section, you'll have a solid understanding of AWS governance, monitoring, and compliance services, including AWS Organizations, Amazon CloudWatch, AWS Config, and AWS CloudTrail, enabling you to effectively manage AWS environments, monitor operational health, and maintain security and compliance.
