Built by BSI, a founding member of ISO and a leading global certification body, this specialization introduces you to the foundations of responsible AI governance, covering core AI concepts, the AI system life cycle, stakeholder impacts, and AI risk management aligned with international standards. You will develop practical understanding of AI impact assessments, AI risk management frameworks, and the purpose, structure, and benefits of ISO/IEC 42001, alongside regulatory and ethical considerations including the EU AI Act and trustworthy AI principles. By completion, you will be equipped to support organizational readiness for AI governance, ISO 42001 alignment, and effective AI management systems.
Applied Learning Project
The specialization includes applied, scenario-based activities in which you will use realistic prompts to develop and evaluate AI risk management frameworks, perform AI impact assessments and risk analyses, and assess trustworthiness measures aligned with ISO/IEC 42001 and related standards. Through these projects, you will apply AI governance, risk, and ethical principles to authentic organizational AI use cases, simulating real-world decision-making and readiness for responsible AI implementation.
